In 2024, AIIMS Jammu launched its patient care services, including OPD, Inpatient, Emergency & Trauma, and OT, marking a significant milestone in patient-centric healthcare.
With over 87,497 outpatient cases handled, a 99.61% patient satisfaction rate, and 679 managed inpatient cases, AIIMS Jammu has made a remarkable impact.
Expansion and Innovation in Healthcare
AIIMS Jammu continues to expand its services, with plans to increase its bed capacity to 250 within a month and 750 within six months. The Trauma and Emergency Department has efficiently managed over 3,135 cases, demonstrating its commitment to providing effective and holistic healthcare.
Advanced diagnostics and state-of-the-art equipment at AIIMS Jammu ensure timely and accurate diagnoses, supporting over 3,409 USG scans, 554 MRI scans, 896 CT scans, and 5,926 X-rays.
Education and Research Excellence
AIIMS Jammu has welcomed its 5th Batch of MBBS students and launched a B.Sc. Nursing program. Postgraduate and super specialization medical courses are also underway.
The institution achieved significant milestones in research, receiving ICMR-funded multi-centric projects and advancing 95 research initiatives. In 2025, AIIMS Jammu aims to enhance innovation and collaborative research for healthcare excellence.
Patient-Centric Initiatives and Enhancements
AIIMS Jammu's commitment to patient experience is reflected in its digital Indoor Patient Navigation System, smart payment cards, and shuttle services. These initiatives provide convenience and accessibility for patients.
The residential complex is being enhanced with thoughtful additions like a cycle track, soft music, and a crèche, creating a comfortable and friendly living environment.
Vision for 2025 and Beyond
AIIMS Jammu is poised for significant growth in 2025. Plans include operationalising 750 beds, achieving complete healthcare digitalisation, and expanding patient care services to manage 2,500 daily OPD cases.
The institution envisions becoming a Centre of Excellence in Precision Medicine with Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology, serving as a referral hub for Northern India. Centres of Excellence in Telemedicine, Nursing, Cancer Care, and Hospital Administration will further position AIIMS Jammu as a leader in healthcare and education.
